Your destination

In your role as composite engineer and part of the engineering department, you are the technical responsible in various projects with a focus will be on Thermoplastic Assembly. You will support process qualification according to aerospace standards, optimize and produce welding tooling and equipment for industrialisation, and develop demonstrators and parts for serial production.

Your mission

• Design composite products and tooling.

• Develop and prepare products for manufacturing: tooling design, production documentation, prototyping.

• Prepare, perform test plan, report and analyse the results to qualify or certify the parts and/or the processes.

• Continuous improvement.

• Actively propose efficient and innovative technical solutions.

• Facilitate effective communication between Engineering and other departments (Programs, Production, Quality, Supply Chain).

• Adopt to best practices and work according to documentation standards.

• Perform technological surveys (competitors and suppliers) to secure the supply chain.

Your luggage

To be successful in this role, you have a passion for composites and/or aerospace! You have gathered your first working experience within a high-tech engineering-manufacturing environment and are eager to extend your capabilities within the field of thermoplastic composites. You have a can do mentality, are a true team player and know what it takes to meet customer expectations. In addition you have:

  • BSc / MSc / BEng Degree in Aerospace, Chemistry, Material Science, Physics, or Mechanical Engineering

  • 3-5 years working experience in a technical environment

  • Experience with Thermoplastic composites welding is an advantage

  • Excellent command of English

  • You live in the Netherlands

Working Conditions

  • A one year contract (32-40 hours) with prospect to permanent employment
