Project Manager Thermoplastic Assembly

Join KVE to further develop our patented induction welding technology for thermoplastic composites mainly used in aerospace applications.
This unique joining technique allows for rivet-less and dust-free airframe structure assembly, reducing weight, cost and the environmental impact of an aircraft.

Your destination

In your role as Project Manager, you will support KVE to further optimize and industrialize the induction welding process. You will setup and manage projects related to the optimization of the welding tooling, support material and process qualification, and develop prototypes or demonstrators. You take the lead in international (e.g. European funded) projects and take care the project stays within budget and time schedule. For product development projects using induction welding, you are involved from design to product manufacturing and by doing so, you will ensure that the right process specifications are determined, followed and optimized. 

Your luggage

To be successful in this role, you have a passion for composites and/or aerospace! You have several years of relevant working experience within a high-tech engineering-manufacturing environment and bring in the skills to manage a R&D driven project. You are a great communicator and are able to build bridges between internal and external stakeholders. In addition, you have:

  • BSc / MSc / BEng Degree in Aerospace, Chemistry, Material Science, Physics, or Mechanical Engineering

  • Solid experience in project management in a technical environment, preferably in the aerospace market;

  • 5-10 years working experience, at least 3 years in project management

  • Experience with thermoplastic composites or polymers is an advantage

  • Excellent command of English and Dutch. French would a great addition

  • You have a Dutch permit
